Gatefeed turns your store catalog into clean, always-in-sync product feeds for Google Shopping, Meta and AI assistants.
This companion plugin does one simple thing: it automatically adds your Google site verification tag (google-site-verification) to your site’s header, so that Gatefeed can verify and claim your website in Google Merchant Center on your behalf.
- Zero configuration: the plugin fetches your verification token from your Gatefeed account automatically

This plugin connects to the Gatefeed API to retrieve the Google site verification token associated with your domain.

A Gatefeed account with your store connected is required for the tag to be served.
Installation
- Install the plugin from the WordPress directory (or upload the zip via Plugins Add New Upload)
- Activate it
- That’s it — no settings. Your Gatefeed dashboard handles the rest.

Do I need a Gatefeed account?

Yes. The plugin retrieves your verification token from your Gatefeed account, based on your domain name.

No. It only prints a single meta tag in your header. The token is cached for 24 hours.

The verification tag is removed from your site. Your Google Merchant data remains managed from your Gatefeed dashboard.
